SUMMARY
Cleans rooms, common areas, lobby, restaurant, decks, fitness center, welcome desk, entry, veranda, lounge, spa & related facilities and halls in commercial establishment: Hotel, restaurants, clubs, spa, treatment suites, guest rooms, and staff dormitories by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Sorts, counts, folds, marks, or carries linens. Makes beds.
Replenishes supplies such as drinking glasses and writing supplies.
Checks wraps and renders personal assistance to patrons. Moves furniture, hangs drapes, and rolls carpets as necessary.
Cleans lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, decks, and stairways.
Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors.
Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
Dusts furniture. Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork. Washes windows, door panels, and sills. Applies polish as needed to any surfaces.
Empties wastebaskets, and empties and cleans ashtrays.
Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
Replenishes bathroom supplies. Replaces light bulbs.
Carefully follows internal procedures, policies and instructions and maintains the highest standards for guest experiences at every turn.
Takes direction from supervisors to execute systems as intended.
Offers input on coordination and actions, as requested, to supervisors on improvement to methods implemented.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has limited supervisor responsibilities, but may occasionally include some team management as follows:
Manages 0 to 4 subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 0 to 6 employees in the Guest Services and Housekeeping Teams. Is responsible for individual direction, coordination, and evaluation of performance, with supervision by team leader. Carries out any needed supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities might include interviewing, screening, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and reporting on employee performance, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to 12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple English instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence in English. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, guests, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
